Shop Foreman - Parts - Permanent in Mississauga, Ontario For Sale

The People Bank - Mississauga is currently in the hunt for a Shop Foreman for our client who is a manufacturer of parts for OEMs and machine shops. Our client's machine shop is located in Mississauga. To succeed in this role you must have extensive hands-on, leadership, experience in manufacturing as well as an excellent production and safety record. You will manage all shop operations for our client. Responsibilities: * Organize workflow ensuring quality and safety targets are met and exceeded
* Coordinate project schedules
* Manage all inventory, purchasing, and equipment needs
* Uphold health and safety and production standards
* Provide necessary training and coaching to staff to ensure that products are produced on time and on budget
* Troubleshoot any issues that may arise with ongoing or completed projects
* Recommend any shop areas that could be improved - quality, materials, production methods, equipment, and performance
* Ensure that all tools and equipment are in safe and operable conditions Qualifications: * 5 or more years of experience managing a shop - specific experience in parts manufacturing would be considered ideal
* Extensive hands-on experience in mawnufacturing
* Exemplary safety and production record
* Proven leadership abilities
* Ability to liaise with people at all levels - engineering, management, field sales, etc.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
